Hard to breathe when im about to get my period/ when i already have it,.. is this normal?

The only thing I can think of is that when you get your period, the raised levels of the hormone Estrogen causes extra inflammation in your body. If you suffer from an auto immune disease, or any inflammatory disorder (like asthma), it can exacerbate it.
No, that's not normal. It might not be a huge problem either, but I would make an appointment to get it checked out.
That always happens to me, but I have asthma.
